Experienced & Reliable Tool and Die Manufacturing

R.L. Tool & Die is located in Kenilworth, New Jersey. It has been in existence since the 1950’s. It is a third generation, family-run company.

R.L. Tool was founded by Hank, its original tool and die maker, who immigrated to the United States from Germany. Hank was trained in the skill of traditional tool and die making, and each product was crafted by hand with great care and thoroughness.

Father and son - Dennis took over as the owner and president of R.L. Tool in the 1980's, transforming the shop into the version that you see today.

In the late 1980's, Hank's son Dennis entered into the business, absorbing all of Hank's knowledge and expertise, while also looking towards the future. Dennis's background in technology and computers ushered in a new era of manufacturing for R.L. Tool - EDM and CNC machines.

Craftsmanship, precision, and meticulousness have always been at the core of the work that we complete, and we take great pride in delivering products that combine the accuracy of a machine with the expertise and attention to detail of a skilled craftsman.

While we always have our eyes on the horizon, we remain deeply connected to our roots.

We specialize in dies, die components, mold components, and machined parts for a wide range of industries including the aerospace, military, medical, HVAC, and automotive industries. We work extensively with prototype engineers and product developers directly and indirectly for various major, international companies. Our manufactured products include a wide array of punch and die sets, couplings and fasteners, fiber optics inspection/test fixtures, components for military helicopters and devices for vaccinations and medical procedures.
